If you can get to one, try Primark.

I bought mine from there, is lovely and cool.

They have silk ones, mine's cream with butterflies on it, or there are bright pink ones.

Where can I get a LONG SHEER WHITE NIGHTGOWN ?

I am a virgin and I am getting married in April, and I really wanted to wear a long sheer white nightgown on my wedding night, but I can't find one, so does anyone know where I can find one ?

Details:

-I am 24 and getting married in April 07

-I want a long sheer white nightgown, perferable with long sleeves

Thank you for your help :)

Consider getting a nightgown with a long sleeved negligee. That is what women used to wear. I've never seen a long sleeved sheer nightgown by itself.

This would be a nightgown with spaghetti straps, and the negligee would also be sheer, full and flowing, and possibly tie at the neck, or have just 2 or 3 tiny buttons near the neckline. Very romantic looking! Women in movies years ago wore them.

Go to a big dept. store and ask if they have anything like that, or could order one for you.

Best wishes to you! I hope you have a long and happy marriage!

I wouldn't do the long sleeves. It's going to be way too much hassle. You should find an elegant white gown with thin straps and opt for a sheer or elegant silk white robe to go with it.

Congratulations!!!!

try Macy's or go online and look

Lord and Taylor

try fredericks.com

I found one on there but it wasn't long sleeve.

Try Dillards if you have one where you live, they have a very nice lingerie department

check out the online adult shops... they usually have sections for wedding nights... and they always have white. and will be delivered in a few days

Where can I get a long light blue nightgown?

My friend and I want to dress up as Betty Rubble and Wilma Flintstone for Halloween, and I was going to be Betty. The Betty costume from the store costs about $50 though, so I wanted to just cut a dress myself from a long blue night gown. But I have no idea where to get a plain, light blue night gown from. What stores sell them?

Why don't you try the salvation army or a local thrift store? I'm sure you can find something acceptable there. Besides, if you're just going to cut it up and use it as a costume, you might as well get it cheap!

I'd head on over to eBay....eBay is a great treasure trove for light blue nightgowns and other costume ideas...plus they're a great deal!!

Yes im a crossdresser and where can i buy a long nylon nightgown for a decent price?

yah i crossdress and i hate cotton pajamas they are so uncomfortable, but i love a silky nightgown, they feel so sexy if anyone has any suggestions or links to a beutiful gown that would be great tell me what u think i should get.

http://www.designhers.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=IAX20300&Category_Code=B348&Product_Count=1

that website has hundreds of items for men who crossdress, it's an American site so hopefully so are you...

the clothes are all made specifically for crossdressers so it should be comfortable and fit the broader male frame better

look on line or try wal mart or target

http://www.fredericks.com/category.asp?catalog%5Fname=Holiday2002&category%5Fname=Lingerie-Satin&Page=1

try e-bay.

They have all styles at low prices.

Macy's or Dillards.

Any better department store, such as Macys, will carry them. Also try Victorias Secret or any lingerie shop. There's an abundance of styles and colors. All you have to do is to look.

How often do you wash your nightgowns....?

How oftend do you wash your nightgowns....should I wash my nylon nightgown after wearing it for two nights? (It is 97% nylon 3% spandex)

After three wears then it goes in the dirty clothes to be washed once

a week.

I change mine every 2 nights, and wash them the next day i have plenty so if for some reason i can't get to wash them the next day i have plenty to use.

Assuming that you shower every day, a fresh nightie every second night seems about right. That's what I do anyway.

Atleast once a week.

once after 2 or 3 nights is ok..depends on ur body..like me.. i dnt sweat at all... so depends on u...

How can I go about making my own fashion doll molds?

I am interested in making my own 12" fashion doll because the really good ones that are for sale are SO EXPENSIVE. Does anyone know how can I go about making my own fashion doll molds using plastic, rubber or other materials? I am not interested in transforming a doll that is already made, but starting from scratch. Serious replies only. Thanks.

There are doll making magazines that can help you with that, I believe one is called Doll Crafter.

But I think that making your own would be way more expensive than buying them...and yes, I do know the price of modern fashion dolls!

I admire your ambition, but I think you need to find out what's all involved, it might be a bigger task than you think!

What is a good fashion magazine for preteens?

I am a preteen and i have a hard time finding nice sites fit for my age. Most sites have a age limit. I am a aspiring fashion designer and would like a magazine with as follows: the latest fashion trend and top wear for the season, cool accessories, fashion tips and make-up tips. Optional:Quizzes. Thanks.

there are lots of magazines for teens/preteens ! such as , seventeen , cosmo girl , teen Vogue ,Girl's Life Magazine , Twist ,allure

J-14 , Elle Girl , Teen , plus many more !

here are some good websites for magazines below !

A great way to start out in fashion is to become a part of an online community. http://www.chictopia.com has no age limit and has had a some of its users featured in TeenVogue, ElleSpain, and WWD. It also is a great source of fashion inspiration and a place to showcase your designs. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20080911121710AAKiCNt&kid=NqZKIWD1UlCDVgJspHJW&s=comm&date=2008-10-21+15%3A59%3A24&.crumb=

I personally think that seventeen is perfect. It doesn't have super expensive things like Teen Vouge. J-14 or anything like that rarely talks about or shows fashion. So unless you want to see Disney Channel stars, I'd stick to Seventeen. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20080911121710AAKiCNt&kid=DsZUIkrCOFg4eG5fGUfw&s=comm&date=2009-03-22+12%3A48%3A45&.crumb=

How do fashion designers forcast fashion and how many season ahead do they do it for?

I just wondered how fashion designers etc do this. I am curious as I hear about it all the time but wanted more information.

they are the ones who create the fashion, they design the trends. it's high street brands and people in advertising who do the forecasting, based on what the lovely designers give them.

they normally design a two seasons ahead. but they only come out on the catwalks one season before.

so the spring/summer collection will come out in winter. but the designers will be on the next autumn/winter collection.

The try to set the Fashion rather than forecast it

If they know a warehouse load of free blue cloth is going to be available next year -- good chance they will be trying to get everyone wearing blue

They also watch what films will be coming to the cinemas - these can influence fashion and taste too.

How can I start being a fashion and beauty girl?

I'm 13 and I love fashion and beauty, but I just don't know how to be a fashionista/ fashion and beauty girl! I'm doing this for myself, by the way! What magazines do I read, make -up, any recommended stores, clothing lines, clothes, shoes, accessories, purses (I already have a small Coach Purse), what do fashionistas obsess over (except for fashion and beauty duh!), how do they act, any recommended books (fiction or nonfiction), what do they say a lot, what celebrities are their role models, how do I get great fashionista-baby soft skin, any bedroom (bathroom) make-overs, and any other suggestions are cool! I don't want to be self-centered or mean, I am really nice actually.

Sorry, that's a lot of stuff, but I just love fashion, just don't know how to put it!

Advice would be awesome!

Read TeenVogue, it's the best way to follow the fashion trends. People and Instyle have fashion updates for people your age sometimes. Keep your make-up safe, and clean with a glow that makes you the way you are. Don't make it too dramatic. Even out your make up; maybe a little bit of mascara, eyeliner, a touch of eyeshadow, a little bit of blush, and some gloss will do. Guys don't like it when girls have too much make up. I personally don't like Forever21 because their clothes are cheap material so I recommend that you shop at Nordstroms, Urban Outfitters, and H&M. Always dress according to the ocasio and weather, keep your accessories cute, never mix&match, but don't over accessorize. These days, the bigger the better. Don't carry around a dinky little purse, get your oufit to look more fabulous by carrying a purse that has a lot of room and style to it. Jeans are very important. I love Citizens of Humanity, True Religions, and William Rast jeans. Do not get jeans that are too tight. You'll get a muffin top which means that your fats goes over your jeans beacause your jeans are too tight. It was stated on E!'s 50 fashion do and don't. Make sure to keep the length right, and the butt area looking fit. I use Nu Skin, which is not a very well known brand, but it is the best. I was breaking out one time, I applyed some facial acne creame, the next day it was gone. And for your make up, go to Sephora, not MAC. MAC makes you look like a cake face. GOOD LUCK!

What is the best fashion magazine for young adults?

I recently moved to US and wants to know what the best fashion magazine is for a young adult like me. I am 23, so really cannot relate to cosmogirl or seventeen anymore. I love to dress up and follow fashion trends. I want to subscribe to a magazine where I can find the hottest hairstyle, or latest fashion on clothes, shoes or bags. I am looking for a more mature version of seventeen/cosmogirl.

Teen Vogue for sure! :)

But Seventeen is still good for young adults too, I think.

What is the difference between fashion marketing and fashion merchandising?

Im wondering because i want to be a fashion buyer, like what rachel was in friends, but which would i have to major in fashion marketing or fashion merchandising???

it doesnt really matter they both are the samething if you search for more information on the two you can be a fashion buyer for both of them and also make sure you go to a good school not one that advertise itself on tv late at night those always seem a little sketchy go to top cities like miami, los angelos, new york, chicago and parts of europe..its a risk but its a great career

I just want to add that there actually is a slight difference between the marketing and merchandising functions. If you want to do what Rachel did, go for fashion merchandising. Here is the difference: The fashion marketers work in the corporate offices and rarely have a reason to venture outside http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20071010143152AAHtUjf&kid=JY5RUlHJI3Ljit2RmX51&s=comm&date=2008-09-21+14%3A23%3A41&.crumb=

unless there's a promotional event going on or something similar. Marketers are in the field, involved in how many pieces get to which stores, whether product is moving, that kind of thing. They interact directly with retailers. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20071010143152AAHtUjf&kid=JY5RUlHJI3Ljit2RmX51&s=comm&date=2008-09-21+14%3A24%3A56&.crumb=

How is fashion important to world history?

I am doing a project on ancient Asian fashions. We have to include how fashion is important to world history and how it affected world history. Any other information on fashion and how it changed in ancient Asia ( 1000 BCE to 1600 ACE) would also be helpful. (This is a high school class.) Thank you!

It's relatively unimportant to history. However, since you have to pretend that it is, just discuss the differences between classes' clothing, the difference of religious leaders clothing, and the changes seen in mens clothing versus women's clothing. Research various cultures, and maybe you point out unique clothing like in Korea they have the traditional han bok for various customs.

Well I think fashion is very important because it describes you. It shows people who you are. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20081028144935AAv52fR&kid=JZxWLEv1DzWuNlu81H.k&s=comm&date=2008-12-11+13%3A41%3A40&.crumb=

Fashion in history is important because certain clothes mean different things. From Roman times to acient Egypt to modern day even!!! Fashoin is used to establish social class, royalty, and so on. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20081028144935AAv52fR&kid=IqdkDGH6DXI091ECtbWu&s=comm&date=2009-01-06+10%3A33%3A10&.crumb=

Hmmm...how fashion affects world history is hard to explain, but it's better to think about it as how social history is reflected through fashion.

Think of it as this way. When I did a project on Victorian era fashion, I included the social history part by introducing the social classes and explained how each class dressed and behaved. Then I went on with what they (men, women, and children) wore throughout Queen Victoria's reign.

You can learn from world history, about what the civilisations thought of different things at the time. You can also find out what the different classes thought were attractive and their mindset on certain issues. It affected world history because people judged people. If you weren't fashionable at the time, people would not like you as much. Also it accepts people into ceratin groups in society.

Views on people and how we use appearences to differenciate authoritive figures etc from one another and other people using stereotypical views. However through history as time has past and social views have changed these distinctive borders and distorted due to the fact that the world interchanges its appearances with different mediums of fashion, apart from the Queen attending a royal conference etc, what would she wear and how would that divide her from the rest?...it doesnt because anyone can now wear a suit or jeans or hoodys and although we still have stereotypical views based on clothes the whole concept has become disullusioned through time because of the change in social views etc

fashion is very important in history because some of the most historic people looked at fashion like a different world for them. fashion explains people, and tells about them. 4 some people, fashion is the only thing that they can make thier own.but for some people, fashion is important to history, for some people it isnt, you decide

today in france alot of fashion designers are asian so they integrate asian fashions into todays stuff

You need to do your research...look for fashion schools and the courses offered. The class schedule will give you an idea of what career paths are offered in that field. Some fashion houses offer apprentice positions but you have to do your research. Start taking sewing classes. Look at books to help you be able to draw simple drawings. Get on it already.

Have you ever heard of the book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill? Well, I can't remember the exact circumstance, but there's advice inthe book, about becoming an apprentice for someone high up in the company (preferably all the way up, no mid-management yo-yos here) and not get paid for it. In exchange, what you will learn will be invaluable if done right.

For your specific circumstance, you will get to know the "industry" from the back end. You'll see if you really like how things are done, how they are handled, how the true geniuses of the industry got that way, and not just because they had money and a good marketing team to back them up either.

The book is totally worth looking at. Check it out at a local Borders or something for free and you'll see what I mean.

Here's a little snippet from Amazon, btw:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/product-description/0449214923/ref=dp_proddesc_0/102-9527888-9985734?ie=UTF8&n=283155&s=books

Good luck to you :)

PS: btw, this is an old, tried and true technique. for your generation, if all this sounds like some old-person mumbo jumbo (as it sounded like that to me when i was 17 when i first heard about it), well, i think Diddy got started this way at least. i'm sure u know him ;)

I would really like to be a fashion designer but i want to know if you can be successful? And who is your favourite fashion designer?

you must always be in the know of the hotest fashions one day there in the next there not you have to be one step ahead you have to have a natural as well as edjucated sence for fashion and design good luck

It would be good if you went to school for it, cos thats always a plus.

lots of sewing and a creative mind.

http://www.princetonreview.com/cte/profiles/dayInLife.asp?careerID=63

A day in the life of a fashion designer.

school and talent

I want to be a designer too... I guess the best thing you can do is either go to an art school, or just sketch designs, have people make them and if you have enough, try selling to diffrent stores...

My favorite designer (the one I could afford right now) would be kimora Lee ... I love Baby Phat! :)

I know a young lady who wants to do children's line. She has to take classes in all areas of fashion, including the pattern making, sewing, and all the basics. But if you become a success it is often just being discovered by the right people and luck.

I live in Melboune, Australia and i want to get fashion related work experience. I don't mind working at womens magazines(fashion department) or something but all the magazine offices are in sydney. Where can i get it and how?

Depends on how old you are, but a good grounding for fashion is to get a Saturday job in a decent retail environment, eg Myer, because that way you get a strong insight into what sells and what the public wants and doesn't - very useful when it comes to deciding what to put in the zine later.

If you really want fashion experience - difficult at any age! - try for a job with a fashion agent or distributor to see how fashion is circulated. look at the yellow pages.

or see if you can get an office job at the design college, or with a fabric printer, or at the Herald-Sun which has a big lifestyle department.

Good luck!

maybe look on the net for melbourne based fashion designers, and email them enquiring about work experiance just an idea :) goodluck

What should I wear to bed: red nightie, pink pj set, or a nightgown?

I crossdress and am so excited that I can sleep in something feminine tonight, but dont know what I should wear. I have a red nightie, a pink pj with a cami or a nightgown that is below the knee.

well i wouldnt pick the nightgown.. too granny

go for the pj's with the cami because its more of what girls wear to bed when they are not sleeping with a significant other... the nightie is for that

pink pj. trust me, you will look cute. do tell me if u have a blog! POST YOUR PICS! :)

if you want to feel girly/flirty wear the cami pjs, if you want to feel sexy wear the red nightie. sleep tight :)

Why does it matter?
